HDR dynamic tone mapping
MadVR Labs pioneered frame-by-frame HDR dynamic tone mapping. Our patent-pending DTM 2.0 analyzes every frame in real time to optimize every pixel. That's half a billion pixels per second in 4K60. 4K upscaling and sharpening
Envy uses proprietary machine learning algorithms to provide unmatched 4K anamorphic upscaling. It also provides the highest quality chroma enhancement (4:2:0->4:4:4) and can automatically revert certain harmful chroma enhancements used by the original players to then perfectly apply its superior chroma enhancement.
Highly accurate calibrations
Envy enables incredibly precise calibrations by supporting massive 256-point 3D LUTs and 4096-point 1D LUTs, with no loss of measurement data or accuracy, unlike other processors. This translates to 16.7 million points of accuracy, compared to less than 5,000 points with others. Envy integrates with calibration products including Color Space, Calman, and more.
Image improvements
Envy provides the highest quality algorithms to remove compression and mosquito noise artifacts, as well as debanding to remove 8-bit banding artifacts. Many other favorite image-enhancing settings are also available to remove or add grain, sharpen edges, remove ringing, and more.
Management of subtitles and profiles

Non-linear stretching (NLS+)
Do you want to eliminate those annoying black bars from your 2.35 screen when watching 16:9 content? Our NLS+ is the first nonlinear stretching algorithm that combines horizontal expansion with vertical compression. This innovation (another industry first from madVR Labs) “shares the load” for both horizontal and vertical stretching, resulting in a more natural-looking image than would otherwise be possible.
Simple to install and use
