Defined by its creators as an "Implosive Sound Centre that transforms the way the user listens to music", the Phantom is a microprocessor-managed, Internet-connected loudspeaker system that benefits from the development that has made Devialet an icon of design and sound in capital letters: ADH Intelligence (the combination of the refinement of Class A analogue amplification with the power of its Class D "digital" counterpart).

In addition, the SAM Processing of Devialet, thanks to a complex and exclusive algorithm and the power of the signal processing platform developed by the French company, optimises the synergy between amplifier and loudspeakers by managing the intimate operating parameters of both systems. The combined use of these two principles allows the Phantom to host an unprecedented conceptual and technical innovation: the so-called HBI, which stands for "Heart Bass Implosion" and is embodied in two bass speakers designed by Devialet capable of large displacements that move in perfect symmetry in order to create a sound that has a physical impact and density never before achieved. At the very heart of the Phantom concept, the HBI is the result of an unprecedented technical challenge whose ultimate goal was to achieve what the engineers at Devialet call "electro-acoustic miniaturisation".

Thus, in an enclosure with a volume of only 6 litres, i.e. 20 times smaller than that used by most high-end loudspeakers to achieve a similar bass response, the Phantom manages to reproduce frequencies down to 16 Hz with almost no loss (+/-2 dB) while the high end of the spectrum reaches up to 25,000 Hz, making the new Devialet an ideal tool for the most demanding high-resolution recordings. The DIALOG intelligent router allows the configuration of a high-resolution wireless audio system in any residential space. It is based on a unique protocol that makes up to 1.000.000 calls per second in order to directly access music content in the Cloud, while the SPARK application allows the user to use the Phantom as a standalone music playback system or group it in pairs as a classic stereo installation or even as a scalable multi-channel system with 3, 4, 5 or more units.
