Part of Electrocompaniet 's exquisite EC Living Series and an updated version of the award-winning Tana SL-1, the Tana SL-2 is a wireless active loudspeaker with built-in streamer whose physical structure is even more stable than that of its predecessor, with the speakers mounted on top of it, and both the base and rear panel constructed from aluminium. However, the real innovations of this seductive proposal Electrocompaniet are to be found inside, based on that of the Tana SL-1 but with a new chassis and new software, allowing both functionality and overall quality to be expanded. The SL-2 is also equipped with a new Class AB amplifier module delivering 150 watts continuous, while a 32-bit DSP chip controls the speakers with extreme precision and optimises user settings. In terms of acoustic configuration, the new Electrocompaniet is a two-way system that is complemented by a passive radiator for extended bass response. As a streaming device, the SL-2 includes a Wi-Fi module in accordance with the IEEE 802.11ac standard with MIMO, but can also be integrated into the network via a Gigabit Ethernet interface with RJ45 connector. The SL-2 functions initially as a DLNA renderer and can also conveniently access online music services such as Spotify Connect, TIDAL, TIDAL Connect and Qobuz as well as Internet Radio. Furthermore, Electrocompaniet supports not only Google Chromecast and Apple AirPlay, but also Apple AirPlay 2, while also including Roon Ready approval.
