STAX is a company founded in 1938. In 1959 it developed the world's first electrostatic headphones and introduced the SR-1 in 1960. Today, STAX continues its legacy by offering the most sophisticated headphones for both professional and audiophile use.

STAX calls its headphones Earspeakers, or in Spanish, Ear Speakers. They have been named this way because of their Ultra Hi-Fi when playing music, which can only be compared with the quality of speakers, more than with other headphones.

The diaphragm film has been made 15% thinner and lighter than previous models. Equipped with a PRO STAX 5-pin bias code, it can be connected to a driver unit with a compatible port.
