The AV8805A is an improvement on the celebrated AV8805, now equipped with numerous improvements, including 8K/60 Hz signal routing and scaling, 4K/120 Hz signal routing and HDR10+, Dynamic HDR and HDCP 2.3 support, as well as Other technologies possible thanks to HDMI 2.1 compatibility, and support for video transfer speeds up to 40 Gb/s to avoid any limitations.
The AV8805A incorporates advanced multichannel capabilities, including support for DTS:X Pro, allowing up to 13 DTS:X decoding channels to be used for 7.2.6 or 9.2.4. These same settings can also be used to immerse the user in movies encoded in the innovative IMAX Enhanced system.
Other supported 3D audio formats are Dolby Atmos, Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization Technology, the aforementioned IMAX Enhanced and Auro-3D. Without the need for dedicated height channels, new height virtualization technologies create virtual height effects from a more manageable 7.1, 5.1 or 2.1.
A dedicated 8K compatible HDMI input on the AV8805A now allows routing of 8K/60 Hz and 4K/120 Hz video signals. Additionally, support is available for enhanced HDR functionalities such as HDR10+ and Dynamic HDR, while a new Called Quick Media Switching (QMS) it allows you to instantly switch at the frame rate of a given source to eliminate black screens. HDR, HLG (Hybrid log Gamma) and Dolby Vision compatibility is maintained, as well as 4:4:4 Pure Color encoding and BT.2020.
The AV8805A is also capable of upscaling existing Full HD and 4K content to 8K resolution, upscaling even very low quality video material and bringing fresh air to playback of your favorite movies and concerts. It also maintains eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel) compatibility, which allows the transmission of lossless and object-based audio signals such as DTS:X and Dolby Atmos from TV apps or connected devices using a single HDMI cable.
Gaming lovers will not only benefit from 4K/120 Hz routing, but also from the Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) to reduce frame discontinuities and maintain a precise and sharp image at all times. For its part, the Audio Low Latency Mode (ALLM) and Quick Frame Transport (QFT) functions reduce delays so that the user is never left behind in the competition again.
