It is undoubtedly a surprising box, small but powerful. Dali MENUET reveals great musicality and lays the foundation for leading the ability to reproduce sound and performance in the small and cozy size that this ultra-compact monitor occupies. Conceptually, MENUET is a compact bass reflex box, with dimensions of 25 x 15 x 23 cm. It is based on the assembly of a 4.5” woofer and a 28 mm/1.1” dome tweeter. However, when listening to this little one you will hear clean bass without distortion, open and dynamic mids as well as detailed highs. Without a doubt, presence is being faced with boxes of much larger dimensions, surprising. The 4.5” woofer is optimized to achieve the best coupling between the wood fiber cone and the natural wood cabinet. Even the cutout made in the cabin to house the woofer is made a little larger to increase openness and dynamic response. The oversized 28mm silky dome tweeter is capable of high speed starting and stopping due to the low mass of the dome as well as the power of the motor (the dome is 30% lighter than standard domes and the magnet in the motor is made of neodymium, the strongest material that can be found). The Dali design of the drivers, connectors and the very high quality filter is the key to achieving an extraordinary staging for such a small box. For optimal operation, MENUET should be mounted on a shelf or wall using the additional wall bracket. It is prepared for wall mounting without any difficulty. The bracket is designed so that wall mounting does not affect the operation of the bass reflex port.
