An attractive ultra-compact monitor with classically inspired aesthetics that immediately stands out for the arrangement of the two speakers it incorporates, with the treble one being placed below the mid/bass one. This configuration is called “Inverted Drive Geometry” or IDG and is intended to place the “midwoofer” closer to ear height with the tweeter below, equalizing the acoustic centers of each so that the sound waves coincide in the listener's head, consequently improving the stereophonic image and contributing to overall sound coherence and transparency.
Of the mid/bass transducer, it should be noted that it has a new mineral-filled polypropylene cone, in order to increase its rigidity and achieve faster, deeper and firmer bass via a bass-reflex configuration with a rear port. This is helped powerfully by a custom-made magnetic motor, a cast metal chassis and a low-density nitrile peripheral suspension, whose connection to the diaphragm has been meticulously studied.
For its part, the tweeter mounts a 28 mm ultralight microfiber dome with an exceptionally linear response, reinforced by a rear chamber that places its fundamental resonance frequency well below the cut-off region. A crucial role in the performance of the 750 is undoubtedly played by the crossover filter, fine-tuned with the help of software-based measurement and mapping techniques and whose execution highlights the use of minimized signal paths and components of very high quality.
