Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT™)
The crucial advance in Q Series is the integration of Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT™). MAT is a highly complex labyrinth structure that absorbs 99% of unwanted noise from the rear of the speaker, eliminating the resulting distortion and delivering a purer, more natural sound.
Deep, clean bass
The Q Series features a hybrid bass transducer design that provides rigidity to achieve piston-like movement for better punch and bass velocity. Combined with a Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modelled port, this results in accurate and agile bass management even at high output levels.
Refined crossover filter
A key component of the Q Series is the refined crossover filter, which ensures seamless integration of all loudspeaker components. More than 1,000 specific measurements are taken for each loudspeaker model, allowing precise signal routing and optimisation for the best possible performance.
Shadow Flare
Derived from the flagship models, Shadow Flare is a carefully profiled transition that extends Uni-Q's waveguide effect. This design reduces unwanted cabinet diffraction, allowing treble to escape naturally without reaching the edges of the cabinet. The result is vastly improved fine detail reproduction.
