Meticulously designed and fine-tuned, the CD6007 compact disc player features carefully selected top-quality components and an improved circuit configuration. Particularly noteworthy is the presence of an oversized, low-noise power supply with high-speed, high-current Shottky barrier diodes. Combined with capacitors 120% larger than those of the previous model, this power supply improves stability and reduces AC noise even under the most demanding operating conditions.
In addition, the CD6007 is equipped with a new AK4490 reference D/A converter offering two selectable filtering options. Compatible with PCM signals up to 24-bit/192 kHz and DSD signals up to DSD128 (5.6 MHz), the DAC optimises the playback of high-resolution audio content, delivering detailed bass transients, extremely natural mids and smooth, extended highs from both compact discs and digital files stored on a USB stick.
The analogue signal component of the CD6007 is processed by one of Marantz 's unique HDAM-SA2 modules and routed to the gold-plated RCA output connectors on the rear panel. The CD6007 also includes a headphone amplifier with independent gain adjustment to facilitate compatibility with a wide repertoire of headphones. In terms of mechanical construction, it features a double-layer bottom plate and high-rigidity feet that prevent unwanted vibrations from reaching the high-precision mechanisms inside the unit.
