Flagship of JBL's Conceal range of “invisible” speakers, the Conceal C86 is a sophisticated, very high-performance speaker system for custom installations, made up of two independent blocks or panels.
Each panel includes a high rigidity frame in which the speakers and typical acoustic components are mounted in a conventional wall or ceiling recessed speaker box. This frame is fixed directly to the wall/ceiling structure, while the front of each speaker (a JBL-exclusive FidelityGlass panel based on a compression-molded baffle) incorporates a highly smooth and robust surface that has been designed to be finished in a similar way to the surrounding environment.
The smaller block of the Conceal C86 contains five transducers – four midrange and one treble – that work in tandem with the acoustic panel to reproduce the mid and high frequency ranges of the spectrum, while the larger block houses a woofer. 203 mm diameter that works in tandem with its own panel to provide impressive bass.
The use of separate panels allows you to eliminate possible interference between high and low frequencies – a parasite known as intermodulation distortion – and maximize the transparency and definition of sound in all types of rooms and applications.
