DALI Phantom S-180

The slim Dali Phantom S-180 flush-mount loudspeaker offers a response across the entire frequency range similar to a tower loudspeaker, but without sacrificing valuable living space. It delivers pristine in-ceiling audio reproduction through the use of a variety of technologies. These include Dali's signature wood fibre cone, rubber damping and low loss, solid MDF front baffle, hybrid tweeter module and top magnet system design including a polarised SMC driver. All models are built with a rotatable hybrid tweeter module, which facilitates installation for any audio application - be it stereo, centre channel or surround. Dali has optimised the 8" primary woofer and wood fibre for both bass and midrange. To take bass reproduction even further, the Danes have paired the main woofer with a 10" passive radiator and carbon fibre. This makes the Phantom S-180 stand out from the competition. The ultra-slim 109 mm deep design fits virtually any standard wall. The housing is constructed from solid MDF which supports the simple bolt mount and terminals. The front of the Phantom S-180 attaches elegantly to the wall thanks to the extruded aluminium frame, and the magnetised front grille completes the aesthetic presence of the Phantom S series. The rotary hybrid tweeter module in the Phantom S-180 is the perfect high-frequency solution, combining the soft dome tweeter with the ribbon tweeter. This ensures impressive performance and a high-frequency dispersion that surpasses other tweeter technologies. To ensure the best possible bass response in the Phantom S-180, Dali has included a passive bass reflex woofer based on the passive bass radiator of the high-end subwoofer Dali SUB P-10 DSS.
