Based on a three-way bass-reflex configuration, the Elysian Center mounts the same AMT tweeter as the rest of the models to which it belongs and accompanies it with a midrange speaker with a cone of intertwined glass fibers, custom made to improve the voice intelligibility, and two 220 mm woofers with low distortion and high power handling capacity.
For its part, the bass-reflex loading system is also the same as that used in the rest of the models in the Elysian range, that is, Wharfedale 's exclusive SLPP ("Slot-Loadd Profiled Port"), in order to offer exceptionally powerful and precise bass to complete the front soundstage of any Home Theater system without compromise.
The set of transducers of the Elysian Center is managed by a complex crossover filter made with audiophile grade components and tuned by ear, which guarantees their perfect integration in the most demanding operating conditions.
As is the norm with all models in the Elysian range, the enclosure of Wharfedale 's new flagship center speaker combines top-level construction with truly luxurious hand-polished finishes six levels deep.
