At first glance, this captivating product may seem like a simple turntable, but closer inspection reveals that it actually offers much more, combining a vinyl player, a tube preamplifier and a 50-watt Class D power amplifier. continuous per channel over 8 ohms.
Called by its creators “integrated turntable”, the McIntosh MTI100 is intended for those who do not want a large-scale audio system, but at the same time demand top-level sound, only needing to be accompanied by a pair of speakers to complete it, all this without forgetting practical analog, digital and wireless connectivity, the latter via Bluetooth 4.2.
Of the turntable, which uses belt drive, we must highlight its opulent machined aluminum platter weighing 3.18 kilos, its extremely precise synchronous motor and the Sumiko Olympia moving magnet capsule that is fitted as standard. The main preamplification section is based on two 12AX7A tubes, while the phono circuitry is mounted in a separate custom-made enclosure to prevent the influence of noise and interference.
The MTI100 is completed by a highly dynamic headphone amplifier and a treated glass top panel, on the left side of which are two elegant, genuine McIntosh controls for adjusting the volume level and selecting the input source.
