The Astell & Kern PA10 is a powerful portable headphone amplifier with class A performance that provides all the necessary power to any headphone model to obtain its maximum quality. This is the first product of its kind built by the Korean firm. Astell&Kern has been researching and developing AMP technology to deliver the pure original sound of audio. The Astell&Kern PA10 is the first AK model to introduce a class A amplifier based on Astell&Kern's expertise in amplification circuit design technology. It delivers the natural, spacious analog sound of Class A amplifiers, further enhanced with our patented TERATON ALPHA technology.
The exterior design shows the Astell&Kern identity and is conceived with an image that portrays powerful performance and a great ergonomic fit in the hand. The octagonal pillar-shaped processed aluminum main body is adorned with a diagonally inclined surface. The character side features the Astell&Kern design identity and prevents the device from slipping. The uni-body design that finishes the fit on the rubber pad adheres to the player allowing for a seamless design that does not reveal parting lines to the player. The delicately processed volume wheel is a unit that is recessed in the body of the product and the control part and the volume identification part are separated. This prevents users from unintentionally operating the volume wheel and allows the current output level to be visually checked while simultaneously controlling the volume. The rubber pad on the front allows the audio player and AK PA10 to stay together without movement or vibration when attached with the supplied elastic bands. Plus, we've added a 3D textured pattern inspired by the Astell&Kern logo for a touch of luxury. The side switches are indicators that allow users to intuitively know the setting of each function, while adding to the overall robust and distinctive industrial design of the PA10. Sufficient AMP output is needed to extract all the subtle nuances of music when played through different headphones and IEMs. When connected to the balanced input, the AK PA10 can support up to 6.2 Vrms output at high gain. Choose the gain level that delivers the best sound from the headphones and IEMs you use to enjoy crystal clear sounds.
Most portable headphone amplifiers convert unbalanced 3.5mm signals to balanced 4.4mm signals or do not support any 4.4mm balanced connections. Such input/output combinations limit users from using the pure balanced output of the source device, with consequent signal loss during the transition process. Unusual for a portable Class A amplifier, the PA10 supports 4.4mm True Balanced inputs/outputs for vivid, high-quality audio. It also supports unbalanced 3.5mm input/output ports so you can use it with a wider variety of devices.
