The Reference DAC Digital Media Bridge is defined as a “portal” that accepts all types of digital formats for processing in ultra-precise D/A conversion circuitry and a 100% tube output section. Based on the technological solutions used in such emblematic Audio Research products as the DAC8 digital audio processor or the exclusive Reference Anniversary preamplifier, the Reference DAC Digital Media Bridge combines a chassis with dimensions and aesthetics identical to those of other preamplifiers in the Reference series from the American firm with processing circuitry that allows incoming 44.1 kHz or 48 kHz signals to be resampled to, respectively, 176.4 or 192 kHz. The device can connect to the Internet both by cable and wirelessly, while allowing access to the thousands of radio stations present on the Internet.
Characteristics:
- Analog tube preamplifier with state-of-the-art digital processing section.
