Planar Magnetic in-ear headphones
Shrinking planomagnetic drivers is no easy task. The new iSINE series from Audeze weighs just 20 grams, but features Audeze 's patented technology such as Fluxor magnets that increase power to nearly double the magnetic forces in their size, ultra-thin diaphragms with patented Uniforce voice coil technology that deliver the best in-ear headphone experience to date. Harmonic distortion (THD) is less than 0.1% across the entire range, even at high volume, an impressive achievement for in-ear headphone designs. The Cipher cable, with lightning connector, is compatible with Apple devices, (iPhones, iPads and iPods that have a lightning port). It includes a 24-bit DAC, an amplifier that can drive iSINE as well as SINE and EL-8, and DSP. Finally, it has an Apple SIRI-compatible mic and can be used hands-free. Like the SINE and EL-8 Titanium models, the iSINEs are designed by BMW Designworks USA and manufactured at Audeze 's headquarters in Costa Mesa, California.
