A value-for-money Hi-Fi set in a beautiful vintage design comprising a DAC-equipped amplifier with Bluetooth wireless link, a turntable Pro-Ject T1, highly acclaimed by the specialist press as one of the best in its price range, and a pair of speakers Wharfedale Denton 85th anniversary.
The Stereo 130 is optimised for MM moving magnet cartridges, the JFET-based circuitry provides accurate RIAA equalisation in accordance with vinyl industry standards. It uses a dedicated amplifier circuit with current feedback technology for the headphone output. The result is dynamic, detailed and engaging performance with all types of headphones. It incorporates the acclaimed ES9018 Sabre32 reference chip with ESS Technology's 32-bit HyperStream architecture and time domain jitter eliminator to deliver ultra-low noise, high dynamic range digital audio files with up to 284 kHz (PCM) DSD256 sampling rate.
The Denton 85th Anniversary is a classic two-way bookshelf loudspeaker featuring handcrafted construction, beautiful wood finish and traditional tungsten-mesh grille protection from Wharfedale, all of which make this compact monitor a classic update of the original model. The Denton 85th Anniversary is a perfect blend of traditional and advanced technology. The mid/bass speaker incorporates an innovative interwoven Kevlar fibre cone, developed by Wharfedale and mounted in a highly rigid metal chassis. Combined with a dedicated fabric dome tweeter, which is equipped with a high magnetic flux ferrite magnet.
The turntable Pro-Ject T1 is the result of an extensive development process which has ensured that there is no compromise in terms of sonic performance despite its extraordinarily affordable price. Thus, the elegant, precision-machined base has no plastic parts and has been carefully manufactured to ensure that there are no hollow spaces inside, thus preventing unwanted vibrations from occurring inside the chassis. Carrying this philosophy through to the whole assembly is a glass plate based on a high-mass resonance-free design, which again avoids the weak points of plastic or alternative materials such as lightweight steel. The T1, which uses belt drive, also features a state-of-the-art subplatter mounted on an ultra-high precision turntable system with a hardened steel shaft, which rests on a brass bushing, a solution used in Pro-Ject 's own highly regarded Essential III turntables. As for the playback arm itself, it is a new model based on earlier designs from Pro-Ject. With an effective length of 8.6" and a rigid aluminium construction, this one-piece arm also features a low-friction swivel system to ensure absolute precision in operation.
