In the Marantz CD 60, the unique HDAM circuit has been further optimized over its previous version by placing the components symmetrically on the audio board and creating a more direct signal path. This update improves the sound stage of previous models in search of the most musical sound.
The Marantz CD 60 reader's power supply uses high-speed, high-current Shottky barrier diodes, storage capacitors with superior current handling capacity, and improved voltage regulators over previous models in the same category. The use of oversized capacitors in the power supply improves current stability and reduces the noise level during highly demanding listening sessions.
In addition to CD discs, the CD 60 can play MP3, WMA, AAC and WAV, FLAC HD, ALAC, AIFF (up to 24-bit/192 kHz) and DSD (up to 5.6 MHz) files from a USB storage device connected to its front port.
