The Class AB circuit topology used to achieve this combines low distortion and high efficiency, the available continuous output being 2x80 watts at 8 ohms or 3x130 watts at 4 ohms, values which become respectively 2x100 watts at 8 ohms or 2x160 watts at 4 ohms when it comes to peak power.
In addition, the Amp Box RS2 can be bridged to mono and thus meet the requirements of either more difficult loudspeakers or larger rooms, or both. In this case, the continuous output power is 280 watts and the peak power 350 watts, in both cases on 8-ohm loads.
In addition, a tube buffer stage further enhances tonal accuracy, as well as balanced (XLR) and unbalanced (RCA) inputs and high-quality gold-plated speaker terminals.
And, as always at Pro-Ject, a robust all-metal construction protects the whole from potential vibrations and interference.
