The success of the Motion Series is directly attributed to its close relationship with MartinLogan's legendary high-end electrostatic loudspeakers. The desire to convey that level of performance in a more traditional loudspeaker at a more affordable price point drove the initial design imperatives that created the Motion Series. This is the flagship of the Motion series.
It is a powerful floorstanding speaker with a Folded Motion® XT tweeter, a 6.5-inch aluminium cone midrange driver, two 8-inch aluminium cone woofers with rear-firing bass ports and a proprietary Vojtko crossover network. XT is synonymous with extreme: realistic detailing of the ultra-fast Folded Motion XT tweeter, open and authentic midrange performance, coupled with deep musical bass response.
These classic performance technologies have been enhanced with the slightest of modifications, including the design of the drive's stabilising dust cap, rigid motor suspension and low mounted woofers to reduce an acoustically damaging phenomenon known as floor bounce. The speaker enclosure features increased internal bracing, a reinforced baffle and fabric grille. Available in three stylish finishes: gloss black, matt white and red walnut.
