Two are the most relevant of these innovations: the lute shape of the internal chamber of the mid/treble block and the use of a hybrid crossover filter for the mid and high parts of the spectrum, which combines the new IFF technology from Sonus Faber with the Paracross circuit topology of the Italian firm.
In the first case we are faced with an iconic element in Sonus Faber , as it is a unique characteristic of the brand since its introduction for the first time in the 90's of the last century, its objective being to maximize structural rigidity and sound performance. of the midrange driver simultaneously reducing standing waves within the volume of the acoustic load. For its part, the “Hybrid IFF-Paracross Solution” filtering network combines the IFF technology – “Interactive Fusion Filtering” – used for the first time in the Maxima Amator column, with the aforementioned Paracross topology from Sonus Faber , in which they are placed reactive components (coils and capacitors) in the negative path of the circuitry.
Among the most significant benefits provided by this strategy is the reduction of the Counter Electromotive Force of the speakers, which allows them to work with a maximum degree of interconnectivity and in an organic manner, while reducing the sensitivity of the filter to radio frequencies.
