Designed at JBL's renowned Acoustical Engineering Center of Excellence in Northridge, California, the Stage 260F is the mid-size floorstanding loudspeaker in the JBL Stage series.
This floorstanding speaker features 2.5-way drivers with proprietary High-Definition Imaging (HDI™) next-generation waveguide geometry, 25mm anodized aluminum dome tweeters, and 165mm polycellulose ribbed cone drivers for deep, JBL-worthy bass.
After extensive study of previous waveguide designs, JBL has developed a complex new geometry that improves directivity, reduced diffraction and an overall neutral frequency response both on and off axis. The Stage 2 HDI is coupled with an anodized aluminum dome tweeter for improved efficiency and dynamics. This new design delivers a neutral frequency response both on and off axis.
The crossovers installed in the Stage 2 line are made from premium components. The high-frequency section features air-core inductors and mylar capacitors that reduce distortion and improve sonic performance. The low-frequency section includes laminated core inductors and electrolytic capacitors. These premium materials can handle more power and transmit energy more quickly, elevating system performance.
