The DALI EPIKORE 7 is a 3.5-way, 4-speaker floorstanding loudspeaker that sets a new benchmark in low-distortion loudspeaker design. The curved, real wood varnished enclosure houses two powerful, highly dynamic 7" mid/bass drivers using DALI Soft Magnetic Compound (SMC) Gen-2 technology - and the EVO-K hybrid tweeter module.
It features SMC Gen-2 technology, the second generation of the innovation devised by DALI. Ordinary magnets fall prey to hysteresis, which causes unwanted disturbances in the audio signal. DALI's patented Soft Magnetic Compound (SMC) magnets drastically reduce this phenomenon. Furthermore, the second generation of SMC technology in EPIKORE brings flux modulation disturbances and eddy currents in the magnetic system to marginal levels, achieving a spectacular sound.
EPIKORE 7 features DALI cone technology, made of paper and wood fibre, which reduces weight and adds surface roughness. The latter prevents resonances, improving the driver's specifications. With fibre cone technology, EPIKORE 7 achieves the finest and most dynamic musical details.
Initially developed for DALI KORE, the EVO-K hybrid tweeter combines a large DALI-developed 35mm soft dome 35mm tweeter with the enhanced version of the DALI ultra-thin ribbon tweeter element. Together with the powerful neodymium magnet motor system, they deliver a surprisingly smooth and effortless reproduction of high frequencies at any volume.
The newly designed EPIKORE midrange driver is six and a half inches in size and achieves spectacular reproduction. Meanwhile, the two 7-inch mid/bass drivers feature exceptionally wide and powerful magnetic systems with DALI SMC Gen-2 technology.
Introduced at DALI KORE for the first time, the SMC crossover drivers included in the EPIKORE 9 are the first driver cores with SMC Gen-2. The SMC Gen-2 properties also achieve 12 decibels less distortion than inductor cores with iron powder.
Designed and manufactured in-house by DALI, EPIKORE 7 is a minimalist, elegant and stylish example of classic Danish furniture. With adjustable spikes, ensuring a very stable contact with the floor, and available in three exclusive finishes: lacquered black, lacquered walnut and lacquered maroon. The new EPIKORE 7 sounds as spectacular as it looks.
