Based on the same philosophy as the more sophisticated MC Step Up Box DS3 B, the MC Step Up Box S3 is a state-of-the-art step-up transformer with audiophile design that offers comparable sound performance for a substantially lower price, by using less exclusive components and eliminate the balanced connection with the extra complexity that it entails.

Inside its aluminum enclosure we find a double monophonic topology presided over by a transformer with a transformation ratio of 1 to 16, which guarantees impedance adaptation in 10 or 100 ohms, with the gain being 21 dB at 1 kHz between 10 and 40 ohms and 24 dB at 1 kHz between 40 and 150 ohms.

Thanks to this, users who own amplifiers or preamplifiers whose phono section is compatible only with moving magnet (MM) capsules will be able to benefit from the renowned musicality of moving coil (MC) designs, making a very modest investment.
