The Final Audio F7200 are elegant and tiny in-ear headphones. Headphones that are also extraordinarily light and comfortable thanks to the use of extremely precise engineering. The first key design element of these exciting in-ear headphones is a “hull” created to optimize the distance between the eardrum and the transducer. In this way, the user can place the headset both in the back area and at the entrance of the ear canal, as well as modify the sound quality by choosing between different “plugs”, which in turn can be made of silicone or foam. And this is not all, because the user can also change the position of the “plug” so that the sound is focused directly on it, which is also an effective way to adjust the sound quality. Regarding the acoustic/electroacoustic part itself, the F7200 stands out for combining a sophisticated and tiny full-range “Balanced Armature” type transducer with a “shell” precisely machining that blocks potential vibrations and helps maximize the cleanliness of the sound.
The F7200 use a 5.5 mm diameter hull made of stainless steel, with the transducer located in the central part of it. An impedance of 42 ohms facilitates full compatibility of the new Final with the vast majority of portable devices commonly used to drive in-ear headphones, read “smartphones” of all types, but also specifically portable audio players, such as those manufactured by Apple or Astell & Kern, to give two compelling examples. Another fundamental engineering element of the F7200 is the exclusive high-precision “F”-shaped MMCX connector that they incorporate, custom made for Final Audio . To this we must add an amazing connection cable with high-purity OFC copper conductors plated in silver, which has been specifically designed to maximize parameters such as the width of the sound scene or the extension of the bass response. This fundamental component is complemented by a rigorous selection of insulating material, based on specially treated polyethylene with an external PVC sheath. Why did we say amazing? Well, because the cable in question is not only very attractive and "different", but it has very special qualities since it is the same one used by the most powerful of the "Made in Japan" supercomputers of the moment, a cable, manufactured by the Japanese firm Junkosha and capable of reaching transmission speeds of around 95% of the speed of light.
