With an exquisite industrial design that makes it a truly charismatic product, the MA252 is the first stereo integrated amplifier with hybrid circuit architecture developed by McIntosh .
It combines a vacuum tube-based preamplification section with DC-coupled power amplification circuitry that allows it to deliver 100 continuous watts per channel into 8 ohms or 160 continuous watts per channel into 4 ohms.
The MA252 includes a total of 4 inputs divided into 1 balanced line, 2 unbalanced line and 1 phono for moving magnet (MM) capsules, to which a set of unbalanced outputs must be added.
The MA252 also features two of McIntosh 's exclusive Monogrammed Heatsinks to maximize the thermal stability of its output section's advanced high-current, high-speed transistors, as well as a high-current Headphone Crossfeed headphone amplifier. Director (HXD), powerful electronic protection and two iconic elements of the American firm: the treated glass front panel and two elegant analogue meters with a blue background.
