The perfect tool for reproducing the iconic 78 rpm Shellac monophonic recordings (released around 1939) through Ortofon 's SPU concept, the SPU Mono CG 65 Di mkII is an exquisite moving coil pickup cartridge that will completely revitalize some of the oldest known sound records.

Combining the SPU philosophy (a product whose reason for being was the emergence of stereophonic vinyl) with the exclusive signal generation system developed by Ortofon in which the two pairs of connectors of the capsule deliver the same pure monophonic signal, the SPU Mono CG 65 Di mkII manages to convey the hidden nuances in often very degraded recordings.

Equipped with a 65 um radius spherical needle with Ortofon 's exclusive precision cut, this exquisite pickup capsule also delivers a relatively high voltage (1.5 mV) that facilitates the full use of its possibilities by requiring only phono circuits. or moderate gain step-up transformers.
