Specifically designed to extract the maximum juice from the monophonic microgroove recordings that were released around 1950, the 2M Mono is a monophonic capsule that takes advantage of the advances introduced in the 2M series to offer sonic restitution with unique clarity. .
To achieve this, it includes an 18 um spherical needle that constitutes an optimal solution for playing monophonic vinyl records with microgrooves thanks to the use of an innovative signal generation scheme developed by Ortofon that allows delivering the same output signal in any of the the two pairs of connectors available.
This effectively eliminates the need to use specific designs for monophonic systems, making it possible to fully enjoy truly monophonic sound reproduction with any stereo equipment.
