Part of IsoTek's Discovery range, the Elektra V5 is a sleek, compact mains conditioner comprising six independent sockets, equipped with individual cleaning circuits. Two of these sockets are dedicated to components that handle high currents, using a choke coil design and double Pi filters. The remaining four sockets can handle medium-value currents from sources using six-stage delta filtering networks, resulting in a cleaning of almost 20 dB at 1 kHz on the power supply signal to almost 40 dB at 10 kHz, i.e. ten times the recommended standard.
In addition, five independent filter stages are placed between each output in combination with a version of IsoTek's unique Adaptive Gating system that is twice as large as the one used in the EVO3 Aquarius. This eliminates Differential Mode cross-contamination between taps, optimising the performance of each tap.
At the physical execution level, both the architecture and design of the Elektra V5 are in line with IsoTek's usual high standards, with key custom components used to provide improved overall tolerances and substantially higher inductance and current handling capability than those offered by the EVO3 Aquarius. As a result, a more open and spacious soundstage, more accurate dynamic micro-contrasts and a higher level of detail are achieved.
