The V5 Aquarius is a sophisticated mains signal conditioning device that includes six independent cleaning circuits in a single chassis. Specifically, there are two outputs for components handling high currents and four for preamplifiers and all types of sources, all of which are equipped with technologies to drastically reduce cross-contamination between sockets due to Differential Mode noise from the mains.
The V5 Aquarius also incorporates two types of thermomagnetic fuses: 16 amps for high current sockets and 6 amps for the rest. Developed by IsoTek, both fuses have a contact area 1,000 times larger than that of a standard fuse, enabling them to provide substantial improvements in terms of protection.
The circuit topology has also been vastly improved, with 35% more copper used on the printed circuit boards to improve current handling capacity and reduce resistance.
Meanwhile, the V5 Aquarius' sequential protection circuitry is capable of withstanding peak currents of 81,000 amps and continuous currents of 40,000 amps, making it the most robust product in its class and price range currently offered by IsoTek in its portfolio.
