Version based on the reference model, LCD-4, but adapted in impedances to be able to connect with optimal results to any portable digital player. Compared to the 200 ohms of the original LCD-4 which is still in use, the LCD-4Z is a new option with a voice coil of only 15 ohms. The LCD-4z features a magnesium outer casing and gold-plated mesh trim as opposed to the silver casing design of the brand's conventional models, making it 25% lighter.
