Dali Phantom E-80WR

DALI's new Phantom E-WR series has been designed to provide high sound performance in extreme weather or high humidity environments.

The Danish manufacturer, which already has many in-ceiling loudspeaker models at different price and quality levels in its product portfolio, now offers the ideal option for bathrooms, indoor pools, spas, covered terraces, etc. with the WR models.

The new Phantom E-WRs are ruggedly built to withstand temperatures from -20°C to +60°C and can withstand humidity levels of up to 100%. They are also IP65 rated, ensuring protection against indirect splashes of water, dust and sand.

On a technical level, the Phantom E-WR series incorporates a DALI-designed transducer with a waterproof polypropylene cone and natural rubber surround and features an 8-inch transducer. This configuration ensures minimal sound colouration, high structural rigidity and effective woofer damping. The result is a natural, uncoloured midrange and a deep, rich but not overdriven low-frequency performance.

In addition, the Phantom E-80 WR incorporates a 25 mm fabric dome tweeter, designed to offer an extended high-frequency response. The tweeter is housed in a front-mounted decoupled unit to prevent bass/midrange vibration colouration colouration, enhancing clarity and detail in the high-frequency range.

This loudspeaker offers an optimised acoustic design, with a 5° tilt of its drivers within the ceiling-mounted chassis. This ensures a precise acoustic dispersion directed towards the main listening area. This innovative design not only optimises sound delivery, but also minimises resonance of the drivers and baffle, thus reducing distortion and further optimising sound quality.

Furthermore, the Phantom E-WR series employs a passive, integrated 3.3 kHz crossover network, which has been designed with the same attention to detail that the manufacturer puts into its "normal" loudspeakers. This integration ensures a perfect blend of frequencies for a harmonious audio experience.

Designed from the ground up to ensure easy installation, the Phantom E-WR series features tilting brackets that attach tightly to plasterboard and require no special tools. In addition, it offers mid- and high-frequency level adjustments to provide users with extensive configuration options for a variety of acoustic environments. In other words, they are designed to offer great installation flexibility.

The new Dali WR loudspeaker range offers enhanced environmental durability. It incorporates numerous enhancements to provide maximum environmental resistance. These include a conformal coated crossover, stainless steel fastening screws, epoxy coated grille magnets and moisture resistant level adjustment switches.
