The M3x ViNYL is a phono stage for those who want to get the most out of their vinyl records, whether their turntable is equipped with a moving coil (MC) or moving magnet (MM) cartridge, and do so at a very competitive price.
Like its big brother, the well-respected M6x ViNYL, the new phono preamp from Musical Fidelity incorporates circuitry made entirely from discrete components, resulting in a superior technical register and superior musicality. The creators of the M3x ViNYL place special emphasis on this design, which, although more complex and expensive than integrated circuitry, especially operational amplifiers, provides a level of sonic refinement more in keeping with the essence of analogue audio.
The M3x ViNYL also incorporates a power supply starring a special toroidal transformer for audio applications whose low saturation core allows for a substantial reduction in parasitic electromagnetic radiation, a critical parameter in a type of product that handles extraordinarily low amplitude signals.
