New expression of the profound remodeling to which the legendary Norwegian firm Electrocompaniet is subjecting all the models of its iconic Classic Line, the ECP 2 MKII is a very high-performance phono preamplifier with balanced and unbalanced line outputs, intended for those who want to take the musicality of the vinyl record to its ultimate consequences. But what undoubtedly allows this refined electronics to make a difference is that it has been designed to accommodate any combination of pickup capsule and connection cable thanks to the enormous configuration flexibility offered by its input stage. A flexibility that speaks loud and clear about the high number of values for the different settings available, which allow the user to select, regardless of the pickup capsule of their equipment, the most appropriate resistive load, capacitive load and gain configuration for obtain optimal sound. Another significant aspect of the new Electrocompaniet phono preamplifier is that it strictly follows the RIAA equalization curve, to which a subwoofer filter with abrupt cut-off must be added to eliminate potentially harmful signals.
