The MC303 is the most opulent multichannel power amplifier in the current McIntosh catalogue. Designed to power the front channels - left, center and right - of a very high-performance Home Theater system, it is equipped with the emblematic Autoformer transformers from the American firm, which allow it to maintain its power delivery intact (300 watts continuous per channel) to the associated speakers, regardless of whether their impedance is 8, 4 or 2 ohms.
The MC303 shares many of the most advanced technologies that can be found in other McIntosh amplifiers, such as the effective Power Guard protection system, whose purpose is to prevent possible clipping/clipping of the audio signal from damaging the speakers of the speaker, or the advanced Sentry Monitor, an extremely fast protection circuit that deactivates the output stage to prevent current from exceeding safe operating limits.
The MC303 is completed with the iconic treated glass front panel that features three of McIntosh 's legendary blue-background analogue VU meters.
