The MC152 is a compact, state-of-the-art transistorized stereo power amplifier intended for providing high-quality sound systems in medium-sized rooms, which stands out for its virtual absence of distortion, its level of silence and the extreme vitality of its bass response.
On an aesthetic level, the MC152 retains all the iconic elements of McIntosh amplifiers with the addition of some subtle touches of modernity. Thus, the front panel uses LED backlighting to improve both appearance and color accuracy, while two of McIntosh 's emblematic Autoformer transformers and a generous power transformer (all mounted in dedicated enclosures with top panel of glass) ensure maintenance of performance at any volume level.
The MC152, which, as is the norm at McIntosh , is assembled entirely by hand and includes active and passive components of the highest quality, completes two iconic elements of the American firm: the treated glass front panel and two elegant analogue VU meters with a blue background .
