The Nu-Vista PAS is a separately powered stereo power amplifier equipped with a fully balanced circuit topology.
The starting point of this superb absolute reference amplifier is the sophisticated circuitry used in Musical Fidelity 's Nu-Vista 800 model, which now becomes 100% symmetrical, in combination with the firm's widely proven Nu-Vista stage exclusive British, which includes a Class A polarized separator amplifier equipped with individually selected and tested 6S51N nuvistors.
To this must be added an output section with a total of 10 thermally compensated high-power transistors to ensure stable and reliable operation. Regarding the critical polarization of the power amplification devices, it has been set to Class A for the first 5 watts and then switched to Class B.
Regarding the dedicated Nu-Vista PAS PSU, it should be noted that it is mounted in a robust metal enclosure matching that of the main block in order to minimize noise. In addition to the power circuitry itself, the aforementioned block incorporates filtering networks intended for both the incoming and outgoing signal.
Thanks to this design, it is possible to further reduce the level of silence of the different power supply lines, the result being the virtual elimination of artifacts present in the electrical network that could affect the sensitive audio circuitry.
