The Nu-Vista PAS is a separately powered stereo power amplifier equipped with a fully balanced circuit topology.
The starting point of this superb absolute reference amplifier is the sophisticated circuitry used in the Nu-Vista 800 model from Musical Fidelity, now 100% symmetrical, in combination with the UK firm's widely proven Nu-Vista stage, featuring a Class A biased separating amplifier fitted with individually selected and tested 6S51N nuvistors.
In addition, an output section with a total of 10 thermally compensated high-power transistors ensures stable and reliable operation. As far as the critical biasing of the power amplifier devices is concerned, it has been set to Class A for the first 5 watts and switched to Class B thereafter.
Regarding the dedicated Nu-Vista PAS PSU, it should be noted that it is mounted in a robust metal enclosure to match that of the main block in order to minimise noise. In addition to the power supply circuitry itself, the power supply block incorporates filtering networks for both the incoming and outgoing signals.
Thanks to this design, the level of silence from the various power supply lines is further reduced, resulting in the virtual elimination of artefacts present in the mains that could affect the sensitive audio circuitry.
