Developed in close collaboration with Floyd Design, the solid state electronics department of PrimaLuna's parent company Durob, the EVO 300 Hybrid Power Amplifier is a stereo power amplifier that perfectly harmonises the fluidity and warmth of vacuum devices on the input side with the precision and control of their solid state counterparts on the output side.
Specifically, it combines six of the Dutch company's 12AU7 Silver Label tubes with hand-selected, high-efficiency, high-power MOSFET transistors mounted in dual pairs and driven by a generous power supply. In addition, there are passive elements of such prestige among absolute sound lovers as thin film capacitors from the Swiss company DuRoch and resistors from the Japanese company Takman.
In terms of circuit topology, the EVO 300 Hybrid Power Amplifier stands out by using separate configurations for its tube and solid-state circuits. In terms of functionality, the PrimaLuna's extreme versatility must be underlined, as it has a mono bridging function that allows the user to multiply the available power by two and to improve, by having a mono power amplifier for each channel, both the stereo separation and the sound stage
