Part of the elite "G" range in homage to the Italian philosopher and scientist Galileo Galilei, the GSPre is an absolute reference preamplifier that immediately stands out for its elegant front panel with fluorescent function display and five circular aluminium control knobs.
From a technological point of view, the GSPre is a 100 % balanced, Class A tube preamplifier with not only a high-performance line section (with four 6H30 tubes) and a high-performance phono section (with two 6H30 tubes), but also a robust headphone amplifier that can handle a wide range of impedances.
The unit has two sets of balanced and three sets of unbalanced inputs, as well as balanced and unbalanced outputs. As state-of-the-art electronics, the GSPre can be part of any customised rig, for which it integrates an RS232 port, 12 V trigger signal sockets and an infrared input.
