Another key element of the N-05XD is the networking circuitry specifically designed for audio applications, plus a regulated linear power supply comprising several specialised toroidal transformers and a separate system for the control sections and function display.
The new network music player from Esoteric also includes audiophile-grade line preamp circuitry featuring one of the brand's complex and precise QVCS volume attenuators and an output separator stage equipped with the celebrated HCLD circuitry, whose incredible slew rate of 2,000V/us gives the N-05XD extraordinary dynamic capability.
The N-05XD is completed by the powerful Sound Stream control app exclusive to the Japanese firm, an all-metal construction in line with the usual perfectionism of Esoteric.
