Designed by audio veteran Tom DeVesto, SOLO is much more than a radio: it's a "smart speaker". It starts with a nearly half-inch thick MDF wood enclosure, a 3/4" soft dome tweeter and custom 3" long throw, and a 4-layer moving coil woofer with oversized magnet. The exterior is expertly crafted using one of several furniture-grade real wood veneers, or a glossy piano-style finish of multiple layers of lacquer. The custom Digital Signal Processor (DSP), 30 watts per channel RMS Class D digital amplifier, Qualcomm aptX audio and 3 inputs that support high-resolution file playback result in faithful reproduction of your favourite songs. With the touch of a preset button on the anodised aluminium front panel, Solo will turn on and start playing your favourite saved station. Individual sources can also be saved in the presets, allowing SOLO to turn on and immediately return to Spotify Connect, Auxiliary, etc. In addition, the preset playback is independent and not limited to the currently playing source. Setting up Bluetooth wireless technology is very easy thanks to Near Field Communication (NFC). Artist and song information, as well as album art, are perfectly reproduced on SOLO's 2.8" TFT colour display, and the cover image can even be expanded to fill the entire screen.
