A sleek and elegant aesthetic and a construction of the highest standard is the calling card of a product that improves on its predecessor in several key elements. This is the case of the drive pulley, now made of diamond-cut aluminium, or the construction of the platter and chassis, both made of an optimised anti-resonant MDF structure. In addition, the use of a high-precision bearing with a substantially smaller manufacturing tolerance than the Essential II allows for an even more stable rotation and therefore a more natural and precise sound. As always at Pro-Ject, the Essential III uses belt drive and a DC-controlled synchronous motor, which minimises motor vibration and increases rotational stability. The critical reading arm has also been carefully designed, using an 8.6" model with an aluminium tube entirely developed and built by the Austrian brand. The mat that covers the platter and the feet that support the assembly have also been improved, using a material with a higher level of absorption of possible vibrations. Furthermore, the Essential III is supplied as standard with a higher level pick-up capsule than its predecessor, namely a Ortofon OM 10 (moving magnet/MM), as well as with the new connection cable Pro-Ject Connect it E. This model incorporates an MM phono preamp that makes it possible to be connected directly to any RCA line input of any amplifier.
