Designed by audio veteran Tom DeVesto, SOLO is much more than a radio: it's a "smart speaker." It starts with a nearly half-inch thick MDF wood enclosure, a custom 3/4" long throw 3/4" soft dome tweeter and an oversized magnet 4-ply voice coil woofer. The exterior is expertly crafted using one of several furniture-grade real wood veneers, or a piano-style gloss finish from multiple layers of lacquer. The custom digital signal processor (DSP), 30-watt per channel RMS Class D digital amplifier, Qualcomm aptX audio, and 3 inputs supporting high-resolution file playback result in faithful reproduction of your favorite songs. With the touch of a preset button on the anodized aluminum front panel, the Solo will turn on and begin playing your favorite saved station. Individual sources can also be saved to presets, allowing SOLO to power on and immediately return to Spotify Connect, Auxiliary, etc. Additionally, preset playback is independent and not limited to the source currently playing. Setting up Bluetooth wireless technology is very simple thanks to Near Field Communication (NFC). Artist and song information, as well as album art, are seamlessly reproduced on SOLO's 2.8" TFT color screen, and the art image can even be expanded to fill the entire screen.
