The top panel is materialized in a hand-finished wooden element that visually “connects” with Sonus Faber 's most exclusive speaker collections, while at an electroacoustic level it incorporates a pair of powerful 305 mm active transducers designed for large displacements. with minimal distortion.
Of these transducers, it should be noted that they mount a cone made of an extremely light and rigid trilaminar sandwich structure created by Sonus Faber and called “ParaNanoCarbon', resistant to bending even in the most demanding working conditions and that in combination with a double coil mobile allows you to obtain extraordinarily generous and precise bass.
Regarding the amplification electronics, the Gravis VI incorporates an extraordinarily powerful design -1,800 W- configured in Class AB, developed expressly for it by the Italian brand and whose frequency response curve is additionally linearized by means of dedicated circuitry based in DSP and implemented in the preamplification stage.
The Gravis VI is completed with connectivity that includes all required options, that is, High Level, Line and LFE, the latter offering the possibility of connection in balanced and unbalanced mode. Additionally, the Gravis VI integrates a wireless receiver for use with an optional transmitter to enable complete connectivity without the need for large cable runs.
It can also be controlled with a convenient dedicated 'app' that allows the user to select between 4 preselections or even modify the cut-off frequency and acoustic phase to optimize integration with the main speakers. This 'app' also allows you to act on the delay time, parametric filters and limiters to achieve the most precise calibration possible.
