Unlike some subwoofers, the Dali Sub C-8 D has been designed to reproduce music and cinema equally well. It is very important to Dali that their subwoofers reproduce the signal with authenticity. With an 8" down-fire woofer, the Dali C-8 is capable of being as faithful to the explosions of a film as it is to the harmonic vibration of the double bass. The cabinet is designed to fit the size of the woofer perfectly but without sacrificing the internal volume necessary to reproduce the bass powerfully. The position in the room chosen for the subwoofer is an important part of achieving perfect reproduction. Dali recommends placing the Sub C-8 D in a corner or, if not possible, against a wall. This maximises bass output and distribution throughout the room. Its compact size makes it much easier to position than larger subs. The Dali C-8 subwoofer is active and integrates a 170 W RMS Class D amplifier with linear construction. Thus it follows and reproduces the required signal with a minimum of distortion. Designed not only for constant power, but also for peak power, C-8 D is capable of delivering 220W peak, very important when it comes to music and movie signals.
