Slim in appearance, compact in size and state-of-the-art in technology, the Abyss 10 is a sophisticated active subwoofer that is designed to exhibit excellent performance in classical stereo, multi-channel sound, home theatre and all types of custom installations.
It uses a Vojtko DSP platform with 500 Hz operation and 64-bit arithmetic and incorporates a spectacular 800 watts continuous amplifier Martin Logan.
In terms of acoustic configuration, it combines an active loudspeaker with a 254 mm (10") aluminium cone and two passive loudspeakers with the same characteristics arranged on the side panels of the cabinet. The latter is completely airtight and made of 2.54 mm thick MDF with additional reinforcements to provide extreme definition and impact in the most demanding applications.
The Abyss 10 also features integrated anti-vibration feet to improve dynamics by reducing the transfer of vibrations to adjacent rooms.
Particularly generous is the connectivity available, with RCA and XLR LFE, stereo inputs with RCA and high level connectors, plus a subwoofer output and wireless receiver/transmitter.
The Abyss 10 is rounded off by the Subwoofer Control app at Martin Logan and compatibility with the award-winning Anthem Room Correction (ARC) optimisation system.
