An aesthetic as neat as it is elegant and a construction of the highest level is the letter of presentation of a product that improves on its predecessor in several key elements. This is the case of the traction pulley, now made of diamond-cut aluminum, or the construction of the platter and chassis, both made of an optimized MDF anti-resonant structure. Furthermore, the use of a high-precision bearing with a manufacturing tolerance substantially smaller than that of the Essential II allows for even more stable rotation and, therefore, a more natural and precise sound. As always with Pro-Ject , the Essential III uses belt drive and a DC-controlled synchronous motor, which minimizes motor vibration and increases rotation stability. The critical reading arm has also been very careful, using an 8'6” model with an aluminum tube entirely developed and built by the Austrian brand. The mat that covers the plate and the feet that support the assembly have also been improved, using in this case a material with a higher level of absorption of possible vibrations. Additionally, the Essential III is supplied as standard with a higher-level pickup cartridge than its predecessor, namely an Ortofon OM 10 (moving magnet/MM), as well as the new Pro-Ject Connect it E connection cable. This model incorporates a DAC that converts the analog signal to digital and has a digital output via USB type B, in addition to the conventional analog RCA, which allows direct connection of the turntable to any computer or amplifier equipped with a USB input while allowing ripping of your vinyl collection on a hard drive.
