The distinctive sound created by Roy Hall is a large part of the success of the Music Hall turntables. His 30+ years of experience in digital sound coupled with his meticulous ability to recognise good sound creates some of the best sounding devices on the market today. Mark1 is one such device.

The plinth and platter stem from a genuine and authentic design that year after year has proven its effectiveness. Although the Mark1 has a significantly lower price than the famous MMF 2.3 from Music Hall, the technical differences are minimal. The main differences are in the engine mount and the finish of the chassis. Both, however, are not decisive for the sound quality.

The engine is fixed directly to the chassis and insulated with TPE dampers. In this way, the engine resonances are annihilated. The chassis is rigid and the high-gloss finish is achieved by foiling.

Most affordable turntables have poor arms, but the new turntable Music Hall has an aluminium, S-shaped arm with a precision aluminium casing that allows the brand to achieve the highest rigidity and internal damping. The arm flange is CNC machined to allow precise mounting of the arm to the chassis. VTA is fully adjustable and a feature rarely seen in this price range. It's a costly design decision, but it allows Music Hall to achieve the brand's signature sound.

Magnetic anti-skating is also a luxury feature. The factory pre-adjusted counterweight also makes assembly a breeze. The more affordable cymbals feature bad capsules, while Music Hall has carefully chosen a capsule that perfectly matches the characteristics of the arm.

The Mark 1 features a high quality, super-fast, dynamic and lightweight capsule from one of Europe's leading manufacturers. This achieves a sound is full spectrum and full-bodied that, until now, no affordable cymbal has ever achieved.
