A true reference analogue source with belt drive, the Fortissimo is a turntable equipped with EAT's most innovative technical refinements, putting a completely neutral platform for listening to vinyl records in the hands of demanding fans. The first of these refinements is the incorporation of 12 brass inlays in the upper area of the plate (400 mm diameter and 22 kg weight!) and 1 in the lower area, in order to add mass and improve the stability of the plate. rotation. It is a system made up of two parts, the first using a soft alloy and the second a harder alloy that reduces the flow of energy. The set is completed with strategically placed Sorbothane absorbing elements to eliminate any possible resonance. On the other hand, the platter is magnetically suspended via small neodymium magnets arranged in such a way as to eliminate any possible magnetic influence on the pickup cartridge. The second relevant engineering element of the Fortissimo is the rotation system, mounted on a chrome block and combining an inverted bearing with an oversized shaft in order to handle more energy and more effectively dampen the entire system. Regarding the rotation system of the new EAT turntable, it is also worth mentioning the use of a ceramic bearing as a result of its extreme hardness and inert nature. The third key component of the Fortissimo is the motor, separate from the main block, high mass and completely decoupled, which uses sophisticated electronic circuitry to create an alternating current signal completely free of impurities, all in the context of a design that allows it to absorb motor energy through a metal and MDF sandwich structure.
